Hoops Helm was built in Oregon by two guys who spent years in the gym before they spent a single hour writing code.
We met through a high school basketball program in Oregon. Cam as a long-time assistant, Daniel as a youth coach and later a JV coach. We've both been in the trenches: running practices, building rosters, managing parents, scouting opponents, tracking stats on whatever app or spreadsheet the head coach handed us.
The whole time, we kept running into the same problem. Coaches were stitching together five or six tools to do one job, and none of them talked to each other. Schedules in one app, plays in another, stats somewhere else, parent comms via text, and a binder for everything that didn't fit.
We started Hoops Helm to create the tool we wished we'd had. One place to run a program, from the first practice of the season to the final buzzer.

Dan got his start coaching 6th grade and moved up to coach JV the following season. He stays plugged into Oregon basketball through men's leagues, Hoopla, and the local coaching community.
A lifelong Denver Nuggets fan, Dan holds dual degrees in Finance and Accounting from the University of Wyoming. He runs the business side of Hoops Helm : strategy, customer relationships, and product direction, bringing a financial operator's mindset to building a platform that works for coaches and programs of all sizes.
Cameron has spent years coaching high school basketball in Oregon and continues to coach at the high school level today. He’s been part of the Oregon basketball community longer than most; through high school programs, men’s leagues, Hoopla, and nearly every gym between Salem, Monmouth, and Corvallis.
A lifelong Portland Trail Blazers fan, Cameron earned a marketing degree from Western Oregon University and an MBA from Southern Oregon University. He now leads product and engineering at Hoops Helm, building tools designed to simplify basketball operations for modern programs.
Coaches shouldn't have to fight their tools to do their job. We're building Hoops Helm so coaches can spend less time chasing apps, schedules, and spreadsheets, and more time doing what they got into this for. Developing players. Building teams. Winning games.

We're working with a select group of coaches to shape Hoops Helm before public launch. Lock in founding member pricing for life and help us build the platform basketball deserves.
